The beginning of a new life

My life completely changed on February 24th. War came to my country and I had to escape. There were stress, depression, and tears. I had to spend the night in the basement, subway, camps, and tents.

And so I came to Slovakia. From the first minute I crossed the border, I felt safe. I was surrounded by love and care. People here are unrealistically open and simple, regardless of their status. I have always been interested in volunteering and always wanted to try what it is. I was even supposed to volunteer in my city, but due to COVID-19 and the current situation in my country, it didn't work out. Maybe it's even for the better.

I'm volunteering for almost 2 months now. And what can I say? I am very glad that I chose this project. Thanks to my friends who sent me this project. I work with good people who can always help me if I don't know something. I'm doing my favorite thing - design. I'm getting huge experience that I will need for my future.
