Workshop for EVS volunteer III.
Workshop of non-violent communication
Have you ever experienced any conflict situation with your neighbor, serious argument with the family member or manipulation from another person? Have you ever wondered how to better deal with these kinds of situations, how to manage them without worsening them or much better how to transform them into a positive experience?
If yes, we would like to offer you the opportunity to participate in our workshop where we will talk about and practice some helpful technics of non-violent communication. Non-violent communication (NVC) is based on the idea that we all have the capacity for compassion and only use violence or harmful behavior towards the others when we do not know about more effective strategies how to meet our needs.
The workshop is focused on key aspects of the theory of non-violent communication developed by Marshall Rosenberg. It focuses on two aspects of communication: honest self-expression (defined as expressing oneself in a way that is likely to inspire compassion in others) and empathy (defined as listening with deep compassion).
If you ever wanted to solve your misunderstandings, this is the right workshop for you. We are looking forward to meeting you.
